God’s Girl is the brainchild of Mrs. Patience Ngwenya, and in its year of existence it has had a tangible effect on the community, and has grown beyond anyone’s wildest dreams. God’s Girl Mentorship is a sub-division of God’s Girl Brand (Clothing & Apparel), and is a program designed for girls between ages 7yrs - 12yrs (God's Girl Kids) and teens 13yrs to 19years. God’s Girl Mentorship had its first event was on human rights day where we hosted an Imbizo to educate girls on the importance of knowing your rights. It was hugely successful with about 80 young girls coming together to learn. Due to the concerns that arouse in the Imbizo, we organized a recap Imbizo where we invited girls and parents. Guest speakers from the medical sector honored our invitation as well as the SAPS children and women division also attended. We discovered a number of young girls are faced with issues that are beyond their age, and there is no ear available to them, that was the birth of the mentorship program. Our initial call for registration was answered by 30 girls between the ages 13 to 18years in 2018, and now we have grown to 70 members. Parents and schools are also working with us to make sure the girls stay in school and perform exceptionally well, that they are upright members of the community with godly morals and find their true identity in God. December 7th we’ll get to treat our girls as the princesses that they are, on our 2nd Annual Gala Evening. The Gala Dinner is our closing function for the year and a way to honor all our girls. We advocate and believe in excellence and perfection, and that’s what we want to express on that magical night. Registration for new member open on October 1st 2019 and will run until October 25th 2019. God's Girl Kids applicants should acquire the application form at our offices or contact Mrs. Patience Ngwenya patience@godsgirlbrand.org.za. A membership fee of R500 will be required to secure a place for the member. Teens registration forms are downloadable from this site, a fee of R2500 is required for the member's Honor's Blazer, Token and 2020 orientation camp. Wise Walk as a youth centred organisation we designed a school holidays programme. It is during school holidays that we are able to impact and influence our members fully. We are about empowering our teenagers with life skills that will enable them to add value in their lives, families and communities. Our holiday programme is a camp system that ensures the safe environment for our members free from substance abuse, peer influence and promiscuity. We strive to instil values and inculcate the culture of reading and learning. This programme will empower them spiritually, socially and mentally to use their influence positively. We also consider that today’s teenagers do not play and hence they channel their energy in wrong things. The programme also incorporates games both indoor and outdoor to help them socialise with each other. As we continue to work with these teenagers we pay attention to their challenges and needs thereby find ways to address them through special events tailor made specifically for them
